Mississippi State University Provides Tips on How to Reduce Plastic Trash

The media has been recently flooded by reports of mysterious, microscopic trash particles coming from some of our household goods and damaging the environment. Water bottles, grocery bags, and other common materials can be extremely dangerous to animals and plants when improperly discarded and cleanup can cost over $11.5 billion.

Mississippi State University has several tips you can take to have a better impact on the earth that encompasses more than your plastic water bottle. For example, start by paying attention to your home and outdoor activities and be sure to dispose of items like food and drink containers when you’re picnicking, hiking, or fishing.
