Kansas State University and PepsiCo, Inc. have partnered up to make nutritious food and beverage products more accessible and affordable. The university’s faculty and students will use their food and life sciences research expertise to help PepsiCo, Inc. to develop new product ideas.
The partnership is a segment of PepsiCo, Inc.’s 2025 sustainability agenda, in which they hope to reduce the amount of sugar, salt and saturated fat levels in its product portfolio and focus more on delivering positive nutrition.
Kansas State University’s renowned efforts in the grain science, food, nutrition, dietetics, and health industries will be a great help to PepsiCo, Inc. in achieving their goals. The university’s Bioprocessing and Industrial Value Added Products Innovation Center and the Center for Sensory Analysis and Consumer Behavior will be deeply involved in the partnership, and are hoping to create exciting results.
